David Melville

David Melville has been a Senior Marketing Consultant with Jim Doyle & Associates since 2004. He has produced results for small, medium, and large market advertisers from coast to caost and border to border in over 35 television markets.  In addition, he was the executive producer of two JD&A national healthcare conferences on promoting effective marketing practices.

David’s commercial production background includes positions as producer, director, and editor. He received training at the SONY Institute in Hollywood and the International Film and Television Workshop in Maine.

In 1999, David founded Dirigo Marketing, a New England ad agency specializing in broadcast and cable TV advertising. He has worked as a marketing strategist and a media buyer for businesses wanting to stand apart from their competition and increase the impact of their advertising. His clients have included car dealers, retailers, restaurants, furniture stores, and business-to-business companies.

David grew up in Kingston, MA and comes from a long line of writers. He graduated from the University of Maine with high honors in Communications and Public Relations. He lives in Portland, Maine with his wonderful wife and their six sons. David enjoys baseball, coaching baseball, boating and singing.
